My name is Lorenzo Mangini, I’m a filmmaker and video designer based in Bergamo (near Milan).
I study Video Design at the European Institute of Design (IED), where I’m developing a practical and theoretical approach to directing, cinematography, and editing.
My work is driven by the need to turn ideas into images.
I focus on building a coherent visual style that supports the emotional tone of each project.
I take inspiration from experimental cinema and video art, aiming to create intimate and immersive atmospheres.
Recently, I’ve directed and contributed to short films, fashion films, and music videos, working in various roles including director, assistant director, camera operator, and gaffer.
I’ve collaborated with musicians, performers, and other creatives to produce tailored visual content, gaining experience in balancing visual detail with the practical needs of production.
I use cinema to explore what hides behind the surface of things, to chase moments of magic and bring them gently into the light!
